Project: GreenGrass @ Youth Park
– Keeping Our Music Scene Clean and Green

an event targeting urban youth in the independent music scene, will be the public launch of the movie “GreenGrass”, a film based on the true-life story of Glenn Lim.
The event will be a 5 band concert featuring local, indie-music’s veteran acts like Electrico and Surreal, along side several up and coming acts, together with the first open-to-public screening of the “GreenGrass” Movie. Guest of Honour, Dr Mohamad Maliki Osman, Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Community Development, Youth, and Sports, who is gracing this event, will give a short speech before publicly launching the “GreenGrass” Movie. Glenn Lim will then share a short motivational message.
Free copies of the “GreenGrass” DVD and other merchandise will be made available to the audience, and Teen Challenge (Singapore) will distribute anti-drug literature.
The targeted youths are a high-risk group exposed to vice, drugs and negative behaviour through the media they consume. The organisers, Teen Challenge (Singapore), Awakening Productions and Youthop!a, hope this event will impact their lives, sending out a strong message that they can enjoy youthful energies and creative talents without vice. We hope that through this concert, the youths will begin to embrace life with a new perspective / mentality and pursue a positive lifestyle for a brighter future.
